What is an e-book?
It's an electronic Pdf file for your computer or a palm file for your palm. Our directors are familiar with pdf's and have been creating them for a number of years. You do need a PC for these types of files.

I only want a paperback
You have two options, sell your e-book and get it published as a paperback at a later date.

How many E-book sales before it becomes a paper back?
On the basis that they retail for £5, we would need to sell about 50 before it's a paperback. However this is over the next 10 years, there is no going back to the start each year.

We also find that some people want a paperback straight away. Books can be fast tracked into a paperback faster if the author is willing to pay a one off fee of £250. We can set up a paperback within 6 weeks of receiving funds and you signing off the text and cover.

Why do you not except hard copy?

Our print methods are digital; scanned pictures are fine. However a scanned book can put the purchaser and reader off, the quality is often not there. We ensure we always deliver high quality production. Sometimes our book size means we reflow text, this is hard to do with a scanned copy.

Do I have to write in word?

Word is a good start, we can take it as an RTF (rich text format), we use Professional DTP (Desk Top Publishing) programs for covers. After all we send you a proof (PDF) to check before publishing. We would like you to approve it.
Where people do not have word, they can send us an rtf (rich text file) file unzipped..

Will you pay for typesetting?

NO, this is a waste of money. Using software is great if your business is past it, or if you're companies too big or antiquated to change. We put our profits back into books not old software.

Can my books have pictures?

Yes, these can be in colour in a word file (we do not scan them). Where your book becomes a paperback, they can only be in greyscale.

Can I print the e-Book?

This is up to you the author. Remember that some people might like the book so much that they print copies for everyone they know or for journalists or disabled people. If your e-book is printed out it cannot be sold. Under no circumstances does the publisher print out the e-book. People want information more quickly these days hence why e-books will become more popular.

Can My family buy my book on Amazon or On-line?
After 3 weeks of approval (or sign off by you) your book should be within Amazon. Customers can buy it directly from Amazon. Where the book is a paperback, they can order it from book shops or from on-line book sellers. Bookshops order from their wholesalers.

What marketing will you do for me?

We will give you as much coverage as possible send your book for reviews and help you sell your story to the real life magazines as well.

Will I see a proof before it goes out?

Yes in effect you sign off the final copy (online only), all we do once you have signed off is add the books ISBN, sent a pdf or hard copy to you and watch it sell.

What is formatting?

Formatting is the house look and feel, because of our experience within publishing we know what readers like. We also know what works and what does not.

Do I have to use my real name?

No you can use most names, however you do need to prove who you are first.

Why do you want proof of who I am?

We need to know just incase we get asked for a TV show or your book to become a film etc.

Where is your office?

We use 6 virtual offices for each part of the operations. Our main office is in Brentwood we share resources with another very progressive publisher.
